Lets get started recovering!
Our mission at ENC Wellness is providing restorative therapies, including dry needling, to relieve pain and dysfunction, and improve quality of life with compassion, integrity, and individualized care.
All of our treatments are performed one-on-one, by a licensed Physical Therapist with years of experience providing skilled care.
Dry Needling is a technique that is used to release "trigger points," or bands of taut muscle in order to relieve pain and improve mobility. Dry Needling is performed by Physical Therapists and other licensed professionals and it involves the use of very thin filiform needles (without medication or injection) inserted into muscle with trigger points. Research shows that Dry Needling can improve pain control, reduce muscle tension and improve dysfunction in the area of muscles where nerve impulses are received. This can help speed recovery and return to normal, active function.
Many people associate Dry Needling with Acupuncture, however they are not the same. Both Dry Needling and Acupuncture involve inserting needles into certain parts of the body, and are performed by licensed professionals. Acupuncture however, is based in Eastern Medicine, where needles are placed along meridian lines with the purpose of restoring proper balance and flow of energy throughout the body.
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization or "IASTM" is a technique that uses specialized tools, with the appropriate amount of pressure, to manipulate the skin, fascia, muscles, tendons, and ligaments in order to decrease pain and improve mobility. The application of pressure with these specialized instruments initiates reabsorption of damaged tissue or excessive scar tissue, decreases adhesions. and facilitates healing
Originating from traditional Eastern medicine in China and the middle east, Cupping is a technique that uses small glass or plastic cups that provide vacuum suction to the skin, decompressing the soft tissues under the cups to provide pain relief, decreased fascial adhesions, release scar tissue, improve circulation and improve mobility.
We stand for the highest levels of skilled care and service. In order to achieve this, we must work in collaboration with you to find the most effective plan. We will take the time to discus your individual goals for treatment, review your medical history, evaluate your condition, and build a plan that best suits your needs. All treatments are performed one-on-one to ensure focus and attention to detail, in and environment that that is warm, compassionate, spotlessly clean, and respectful of your boundaries and privacy.
